The Grampians National Park is a great place to enjoy an endless array of outdoor activities, including bushwalking, picnicing, camping, rock-climbing, fishing, photography, bird-watching, nature study and car touring. The roads are suitable for cyclists and there are also many tracks to explore throughout the National Park for the 4WD enthusiast..

Explore the many significant Aboriginal art sites open to the public.  The Park is spectacular at any time of the year, but Spring is the main wildflower season and when the waterfalls are at their best and autumn days are ideal for bushwalking.


Brambuk -  National Park & Cultural Centre

Start exploring by visiting Brambuk the National Park and Cultural Centre, where you will discover the Park's exceptional environment and Aboriginal Culture with many informative displays and find all the information needed for where to go and what to see.

 

Reed Lookout

From this lookout there are panoramic views over the Victoria Valley and to Lake Wartook. The 2km easy return walk to The Balconies starts from Reed Lookout Carpark. 

 

Zumstein Picnic Area

This Picnic and barbeque area is in a magnificent setting and is a popular kangaroo viewing site.

 

MacKenzie Falls

The view of the waterfall that awaits you at the end of this steep trail is spectacular which definitely makes the return walk worth the effort .  

 

Ngamadjidj Rock Art Shelter

Ngamadjidj is pronounced Nama-dij and means 'white person' in Jardwadjali.

Take this self-guided 500m walk to the Aboriginal art site that depicts the dancing spirit with white painted figures.


Boroka Lookout

Located on the southeast corner of the Mt Difficult Range, Boroka Lookout has breathtaking views out over Halls Gap and the plains.

 

The Grampains Petanque Club

The Grampians Pétanque Club Inc. was established in 2002 by a group of enthusiasts in nearby Moyston and relocated to Halls Gap,Victoria, Australia in 2004. Their impressive floodlit “Boule-o-Drome” was officially opened in March 2005.

Located beside the community sports pavilion at the Halls Gap oval, the modern clubroom is just 400m from the town centre and has a licensed bar, excellent catering facilities and ramp access to toilets for the disabled. Encircled by the impressive grandeur of the Grampians National Park, it is perhaps the most scenic sporting venue in Australia.

Domestic and international visitors alike are cordially invited to use our impressive facility at any time, free of charge. Boules are available for loan if you have left yours at home!

The “Boule-o-Drome” is surrounded by 19 shaded picnic tables and 6 bench seats with an elevated grassed embankment under the trees giving a birds-eye view of the games.

An active group of pétanque players from all age groups meet on Sundays at 2 pm for casual competitions.
