Kangaroos in the Top Paddock is a secluded, self-contained cottage on 22 acres of unspoilt bushland bordering the beautiful Grampians National Park. At dawn and dusk,as the sun paints the mountain ranges a glowing pink, the kangaroos graze peacefully a few metres away.
Purpose-built as a retreat for busy adults, it sleeps four between the style and warmth of its rammed-earth walls.
A focal point is the cosy wood fire - great on those winter evenings!

No detail has been spared in the enchanting interior; every glance brings a new discovery – from the polished terra-cotta floors inset with river pebbles to the hand-forged door fittings and colourful textiles.
Every window affords a magnificent natural vista of the spectacular Wartook Valley.
The 2 bedrooms have stylishly different décor with queen beds and full ensuite bathrooms. Privacy is ensured - each bedroom is separated by a vast living area.
Both bedrooms afford wonderful mountain views – at dawn and dusk each day expect to see kangaroos grazing outside your bedroom window!
Bedrooms and bathrooms have heating for those colder nights.
Bedlinen and towels of pure cotton, extra pillows, a cosy doona, ironing board/iron and Hairdryers are provided.
Relaxing:
Curl up in the comfortable chairs in front of the cosy wood fire (yes, its a real one!) and read a goos book, listen to fine music or enjoy a great movie (we have a varied and interesting collection of both).
Dining:
Breakfast on the front terrace soaking up the spectacular mountain vistas while the sun filters through the glorious ornamental vines above.
Enjoy a drink at dusk in the same spot, as the setting sun paints a rosy flush on the mountain landscape and the birds and animals prepare to rest.
Cook lunch in the al fresco kitchen with electric BBQ and eat in the sunny rear walled garden with its aromatic herbs and citrus trees.
Prepare a special dinner in the modern stylishly-equipped kitchen with electric oven, ceramic cooktop and plenty of pots and pans.

Wartook Valley, in the northern “sunny side” of the Grampians National Park has abundant wildlife and is steeped in aboriginal history. The area surrounding the Wortook Valley contains wineries, olive plantations, and is one of the best wildflower
regions in the park, also offering opportunities for bushwalking, rockclimbing, fishing, horse riding, enjoying the local food and wine or just relaxing and feeling at one with the beauties of nature.
