Getting There:

The Lodges is centrally located only a few hundred metres south of the Halls Gap shopping Centre on the Grampaians Road heading towards Dunkeld and Lake Bellfield. The drive way is directly opposite the Colonial Motor Inn, with an entrance sign 'The Lodges'. Follow this track for about 100 metres and then turn left into the Lodges with the Blue Wren on your right and the Kingfisher on your left. These 2 lodges are set on 1/2 an acre allowing for complete privacy to enjoy your getaway.

Cleanliness		Where to start with our glowing review! Perfect location in Halls Gap with a short stroll to the town centre. The property overlooks a large vacant paddock with native 'roos feasting there morning and dusk - a real sight. The property itself was exceptional. A well equipped kitchen for cooking yourself, which we are fans of. The BBQ there my partner wants to buy his own it was so good! The breakfast hamper was incredibly generous and a very nice, unexpected touch from Tim tams to the complimentary wine on arrival. I personally liked the segregated living and bedroom areas; the bedroom and ensuite was upstairs yet still had a small toilet downstairs – ideal. The bedroom had stunning views of the mountain range even when horizontal on the comfy king size bed, spa in the ‘saloon’ ensuite and a private balcony where we enjoyed our morning coffee watching the resident ‘roos in the paddock. If the nights hadn’t been cloudy, we’d have used the telescope (another nice touch). Cleanliness		You are well cared for in this holiday house: everything you need for the kitchen is there (from different spices, olive oil, cooking oil, sauces... to cookware and cutlery), the breakfast basket is generous (a voucher for fresh bread and milk for you to collect from the local bakery), tea candle for the spa, plenty of wood for your logfire (great for winter), mystical view of the mountains from the balcony, deers, kangaroos, crimson lorikeets in the backyard. Cleanliness		This place really was 5 stars in every respect. In fact, it could easily be the best Place to stay in all of Halls Gap. The fully equipped kitchen was fantastic, as was the real fireplace and king size bed. Didn't get time to use the BBQ, but it most was assuredly clean and ready to go. Expect up to 20 kangaroos visiting at once, along with cockatoos, parrots, kookaburras and other wildlife. For the same quality accomodation in a large city expect to pay 1000's a night for stay like this. Need I go on? Stay HERE. You will not regret it.
