Noonameena Cottage - Halls Gap, Grampians

We really loved the location. However there was mouse poo on the stove top, sticky floors, cobwebs. The basics weren't provided such as sugar, oil for BBQ, soap. The service was great especially post visit when I left something behind and it was promptly returned to me.

After staying at another amazing property a few days later with the same cost per night in Port Fairy I feel this was way over priced. It smelt of cigarette smoke, there were no small details like salt or sugar, even just a few sachets to get you started. Lounge furniture outdated and uncomfortable.

Loved Noonamena Cottage, very cosy and comfortable, only problem was the toilet took hours for the cistern to fill, we had to fill it with a bucket of water to be able to flush. A bit frustrating, needs attention by a plumber, apart from that we would stay there again.

The cottage was lovely; very well positioned, cosy and charming. I will certainly return. Just could have used instructions on how to switch bottles if there is no gas, and a warning to check that the hot water switch is turned to 'on'.

We enjoyed our few days away in this cosy cottage. Location was great and the cottage was very comfortable. Some minor maintenance repairs would have made our stay even more enjoyable. Loved the fire place and kitchen set up. Would highly recommend Noonameena to our friends.

This was a lovely inviting home to stay in while we enjoyed our visit to the grampians . It was clean and comfortable . The mattress on the bed was one of the best I have slept on when staying away from home , and that is very important !! Serene location just a short walk from Halls Gap shops. House has so much character - we particularly enjoyed relaxing on the deck where we watched kangaroos and deer. The kitchen was well equipped, beds were comfy, BBQ new and the log fire was amazing. Owners were a pleasure to deal with. Thank you for a blissful weekend at Noonameena, hope to come back soon.

Perfect for what we needed, Had a lovely time and really enjoyed our stay. Only thing we had a problem with was when booking told had two single beds... but there were in fact a bunk bed, which would have been fine If was booking with two bigger children but i was booking with a 3yo and a 1yo both very good climbers... so would have been nice to have pre warning or a photo shown of the bunk beds. And also a note about the water quailty... being yellow we were not sure if it was safe to drink or not...so a small note would have been nice to say it was ok or not? Thankyou

Pity your stay wasn't a week later as we have now replaced the bunk beds with a single bed and a trundle. If there is the initial water discoloration which does occur occasionally it will disappear quickly and water quality is fine.Pleased that your weekend stay was good.

Noonamena is a great cottage and a good size. Everything was very clean and well presented and the chairs in the lounge were so comfortable! The verandah is absolute bliss and we had a great time with the BBQ. The only thing is that there were no matches where the service book said it was supposed to be, and the fridge and water were turned off when we arrived (it was dark so lots of fumbling around). Overall we had an amazing stay and the owner was ever so helpful on the phone when we accidentally locked ourselves out. Highly recommended!

Pleasantly suprised at the size size of the cottage. We have a 1 year old but there was plently of room for those with numerous children. Would have loved an air cond. as one of the days was over 40 degres and blowing a hot northley. Great location from town and main hub and we thought it was great value. Would have loved to have stayed longer.
