Getting There:

Coming from Stawell/Ararat drive past the main Halls Gap shops about 1.5kms. You will see a sign Norval. ÃÂÃÂ Turn right at the next intersection which is Silver Springs Road. Drive to the top of Silver Springs Road and turn left into High Road. ÃÂÃÂLook for no. 24 and the Halls Gap Hideaway sign on the right.

Cleanliness		The house was clean, well equipped, and provided us with tree top views of the birds and scenery. In addition, the air conditioner saved our life in the 40 degree climate we experienced. Cleanliness		We enjoyed our stay at Halls Gap very much. We appreciated that the kitchen equipment was so good and the new bathroom facilities. We did not appreciate that the cupboard space in the bedrooms was taken up with supplies for the house which meant living out of suitcases in cramped bedrooms for the 5 nights. The lighting needs attention as it is insufficient for reading in most areas of the house. I would recommend improving the quality of the images used to present the house on the web. The images need to show full bathroom facilities, not just the spa; full kitchen set up; some images of the living area that is properly metered for light and some good general area ones. We really liked the location and the elevation to give that connection with the bush and the wildlife. I can't believe how tame those kookaburras are or how photogenic they are. The news about the driveway being steep had us wondering,, but we didn't find it an issue at all - in fact I think it added to our sense of privacy. I take on board Bruce's comments about the lack of hanging space as it is a small holiday home. Cleanliness		I couldn't fault it. It was very clean, well equipped,comfortable,relaxing. The instructions were clear, and it all worked very well. If you like walking you should be aware it it up a steep hill. We managed to walk down to the walking path and later back up again We enjoyed the kangaroos.
