This stylish, comfortable eco-hostel is powered by solar electricity and utilises green initiatives including solar hot water, rain water collection, recycled greywater and waste recycling to reduce their impact on the environment.
The Grampians YHA Eco Hostel is a 4 star rated youth hostel with a range of room types including single, double, twin, family and multi-share rooms.
Guests can curl up in front of our wood heaters or cook up a storm in our guest kitchens - why not use some of our home-grown herbs and free range eggs from our 'Chicken Hilton?'

Please notify the hostel immediately if you need to cancel your booking. If less than 48 hours notice is given, a cancellation fee equivalent to one overnight will be charged. If you are booking accommodation via www.yha.com.au please read the terms and conditions carefully, as some specials and discounted accommodation packages are non-refundable.
Administration policy on refunds: If this property accepts cancellations, the administration fee charged on cancellations by The Grampians Accommodation is 10% of the amount paid + the $3.85 booking fee. All cancellations are to be negotiated direct with the property owner.

Children & Extra Guest Policy:
Children under 17 must always be accompanied by a responsible adult over the age of 21. If you are 17 then you can stay unaccompanied only if you have a letter from your parent/guardian stating that they are aware that you are staying at the hostel and that the hostel will not supervise your activities. Unaccompanied 17 year old guests are expected to pay the adult overnight rate. Children 16 years and under are required to stay with their parents/legal guardians in private rooms, with children under the age of 2 staying for free.
Reception Information:
Reception is open from 8:00am - 10:00am and from 5:00pm - 10:00pm. If you plan to arrive outside of reception hours please let us know so that we can arrange for this.
Car Parking:
The Grampians YHA Eco Hostel has plenty of free off-street parking for guests.
Local Attractions:
You can rock climb, abseil and explore the Grampians hiking trails, or simply relax in front of the hostel's wood heaters - there's something for everyone.
Getting There:
Car: Halls Gap is 250km from Melbourne, which should take just over 3 hours by car. Train: Daily V/Line train from Melbourne to Ararat connects with local bus. Call V-Line 13 61 96 for timetables and ticket prices.
