Local Attractions:

Step outside into the wilderness and enjoy the many stimulating walks within the Grampians National Park, from a gentle stroll through to the more strenuous climb, everyone is catered for. Along the way, experience an abundance of native flora and fauna that this region is renowned for, Kangaroos, koalas and deer frequent many parts of the Grampians including much of the town area.

If walking is not your style, then perhaps a bike ride along some of the designated trails and tracks will be an experience to remember, or maybe even join a guided downhill mountain bike tour.

For four-wheel-drive owners, get dirty during the spring-summer-autumn months where there are many four wheel drive tracks open to the public. These will take you to the extremes of the park, showing you all that the Grampians has to offer, including many areas not generally seen by a majority of visitors.

For those of you looking to exercise your adventurous spirit a little more, then abseiling or rock climbing maybe just what you’ve been looking for.

Brambuk Cultural Centre is a great place to learn about the region's history and there is also a diverse range of local artists and wineries you can visit and indulge.

Or you can just relax, put your feet up and enjoy the peace and quiet that this wonderland has to offer. Either way, there is something for everyone to enjoy and make your stay a holiday to remember.

Getting There:

When arriving from the Stawell/Pomonal end of town, after crossing Delley's Bridge, you will need to turn right after approximately 400metres into Buckler Road (Note that the YHA hostel is on the corner, and has a very obvious sign out front). After entering Buckler Rd, you will need follow the road to your left which will bring you into Warren Road. You will find our houses about 150 metres down the road, on your left. There is a Benbullen sign located in the front garden bed of Number 11.

If arriving from the Dunkeld side of Halls Gap, you need to drive through the heart of town, and take your first road on your left AFTER the sports oval. This will be Buckler Road. Continue into Warren road as described above.

Great place to stay - nice to be away from the central Halls Gap masses! Lovely people to deal with, very comfortable house, quality linen (v/imp!). Just a few little facility things: no can opener or peeler (though these do tend to disappear!), or v/large pot for pasta etc. We would also have liked to be able to lock the screen doors and sleep with them open to cool the house at night, rather than have to use the air-con. These are mostly personal preferences, however, and overall we thought it was great. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay there again. Thanks to all for a great Grampians break, and all the best for 2010.
