Interact With Wildlife At This Tranquil Holiday Home

Situated at the foothills of Boronia Peak, Banksia Cottage makes a wonderful weekend retreat for couples and small groups. The cottage is right across from the national park and guests will delight in the bountiful blooms of the native wildflowers and enjoy being visited by the local wildlife at their doorstep. Kangaroos hopping in the backyard, deer running gracefully in the bush and kookaburras perching on the verandah are all part of a typical day spent at Banksia Cottage.

This cozy two bedroom cedar cottage can accommodate up to five people in comfort and in style. Guests will definitely feel at home with all the modern conveniences that Banksia Cottage has to offer.

A wood heater and a split system allows guests to be comfortable whichever month they visit the Grampians. The living area is stocked with games, magazines and DVDs so that guests will have plenty to do during their stay. A private rear balcony is a perfect setting for grilling some steaks and seafood on the barbecue over a glass of the local wine.

The supply of additional touches such as Board Games, CD and DVD’s, Children activities like color pencils and activity books. The wood heater was set ready to light when we arrived. The location was quite with lots of wildlife in the mornings and at early evening. It may not have a spa, ensuite bathrooms or a modern architectural look but the homely Cedar cottage atmosphere made this excellent value for money and made our Grampians stay a real treat. We have been visiting the Grampians since 1973 and we are taking all our overseas guests there. Personally, for me, is very disappointing to see the access to the Balconies and the nerve test closed, I consider them as one of the highlight of the area.
