Things to do:
This is a working sheep farm. Farm tours are available upon request and go for about an hour...discover the story of wool. Sometimes it is possible that you may be invited to come along and experience some of the farm work being done whilst you are staying and sometimes it is not.
The Grampians National Park can easily be seen from your accommodation and is only 11 km from here. There are lots of amazing walks, hikes and drives just waiting for you to enjoy. I have all the walking maps for you to use.
If you are into "fine dining" the famous "royal mail hotel" is a 2 hat restaurant located in Dunkeld and has degustation, restaurant and bar meals.
Directions from Dunkeld:
Drive towards Hamilton for about 8km until you reach “80km” signs. Turn right immediately BEFORE the railway crossing. You are now on the Mill Road. Drive for about 3km. We are the farm house on the left with a shed and sign at the gate. You can see our unique accommodation as you approach our gate.
Directions from Penshurst (great ocean road):
Follow the signs to the Grampians. Once you have left the Penshurst town, drive for about 20km until you cross a railway line (there is a huge intersection in front of you and signs say that Dunkeld is 3km to your right) TURN LEFT. Drive for about 5km (towards Hamilton) and TURN RIGHT immediately before the railway line (you are now on the Mill Road) we are about 3 km on the left hand side. We have a little shed and sign near the gate.
Directions from Hamilton:
Drive along the main shopping street and place “Target” and the “Telstra shop” and “Cheap as chips” on your left and continue driving on this road for 20km...do not turn off...just follow it along until you see our little shed and sign at the gate, our farm house and the unique tall brick building which you will be staying in....we are on the right side of the road
