One of the best holiday houses I have ever stayed in. My daughter and i were the guests. The only drawback is the number of beds. The actual space and facilities could accommodate 1 or 2 adults in one bedroom sharing a bed and 2 other people children or non-conjugal adults in the second bedroom. This may not suit the owners however who envisage 2 couples

We had a wonderful relaxing time. The house is great but we were disappointed that when we arrived Friday evening the house was freezing cold. With two very young children and arriving on a very cold evening it wasn't a welcoming experience to Halls Gap. The heaters should have been on during the day. I also note that 2 globes in the lounge room were out which made the area very dark. Otherwise we did have a great time.

We stayed here July 2013 and again in June 2014. Clean, bright and all the amenities required for a comfortable stay. Just wish the front verandah was covered but that's just personal choice. furniture also starting to look tired and windows in the spa room a bit tricky to open but still a great place to stay. Love this place and will stay again for our annual grampians trip :)

Stayed here for 4 nights in July and had a wonderful stay. The house was immaculately clean and had everything we needed. The weekend we were there was really frosty and cold and we were a little disappointed that we didnt have enough wood for the fireplace to cover our stay and ended up buying our own from the local general store and service station. That aside I can't fault this place. Wendy was absolutely gracious in our request for extra dishwaser tablets and we found them on the front door the day after our request. We had cockatoos and kookaburras perching on the balcony every day which was a great start to each morning. Kangaroos would make a welcome visit and just mingled with us at the back decking. Nature at it's best! Have already recommended Aztec to friends. Thanks Wendy - we look forward to staying here again.

Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your premise with our friends. When we opened the front door and looked out through the balcony glass doors we were greeted on the front balcony by 6 Kookaburras, 4 Cockatoos, 6 Rosellas and as an extra delight, 4 kangaroos in the front garden. What a greeting! The place was wonderful, clean with everything we needed for a 2 night stay. If I can say one thing that we would have preferred and this is not a criticism, is that it would have been handy to have had a door on the spa room as we had to share the main bathroom where as one of the couples could have had a bath in private whilst the other utilized the bathroom however there were 2 toilets. It was a short and lovely walk to town, Halls Gap. Quiet and relaxing. We highly recommend staying hear and yes, the beds were comfortable as was the couch. Modern, comfortable, clean - perfect! Thanks.

I was disappointed that the tap in the ensuite (cold) fell off every time the shower was used. The split systems are not powerfull enough to keep the house cool, especially with the high windows and the afternoon sun belting in. Most of all, I was cross that the area around, and underneath the house, was covered in debri that was nothing short of fuel for flying embers. The spouts have obviously never been cleaned out, as they also were full of dead grass, more fuel for a fire to feed on. However, I do accept that the house is on the edge of the bush, and it is a peaceful retreat. But my husband and I believe that the maintainence on this property has been neglected. As for the 2014 Jazz Festival, we will be seeking alternative accomodation(it would have been our 3rd year in the house)

We had a great time staying at Aztec Escape. When we arrived the house was really cold but it didn't take long to get the fire going and warm up. The bed was very comfortable and the electric blankets were great. We had Kangaroos in the garden several times and various parrots too. The only negative was nothing to do with the accomodation but the local supermarket which was incredibly expensive.
