Dunkeld is a small rural town  located at the foot of the Grampians and at the southern tip of Grampians National Park. It is 259 km west of Melbourne via the Glenelg Highway.

Activities and attractions

  • Follow one of the many walking tracks to Mt Sturgeon and Mt Abrupt and take in the spectacular panoramic views of the countryside
  • Enjoy a drive in the Grampians National Park and along the Victoria Valley Road .
  • Play golf with the kangaroos at the Grampians Golf Course
  • Take a walk around the Dunkeld Arboretum
  • Stop off at the sheep dairy along the Glenelg Highway near Glenthompson and sample some of the delicious sheep milk yogurts and cheeses
  • Enjoy wine tastings at local the local wineries
