The Grampians Victoria is a series of five magnificent sandstone ridges that run from the north to the south.  The Grampians National Park consists of rugged ranges, spectacular wildflowers, stunning lookouts and numerous free flowing waterfalls.  There is a wide range of outdoor recreational activities within the Grampians National Park.  These include bushwalking, rock climbing, fishing, canoeing, horse riding and bird watching.

The Grampians National Park is also home to a multitude of Kangaroos, Koalas, Emus and abundant birdlife.

You can take a casual stroll along one of the walking tracks or a hike on a full day or overnight track.

On the western side of the Grampians you will find the Zumpsteins picnic ground which is a popular viewing area for Kangaroos and other native wildlife.

There are two large lakes – Lake Bellfield and Lake Wartook – both of which compliment the panoramic scenery and can be enjoyed by sight seers and fisherman alike.

The Grampians National Park is considered to be one of the states most popular holiday destinations and caters for all types of accommodation from luxury five star boutique accomodation through to budget and affordable backpackers style dormitories.

Nestled in the Fyans Valley between the Wonderland Range and Mount William Range you will find the picturesque town of Halls Gap.

Halls Gap is a great place for exploring the Grampians National Park and is home to Brambuk the National Park and Aboriginal Cultural Centre.  It is there that you will be able to find more information about the parks features including; Reids lookout, The Balconies, Boroka Look out, McKenzie Falls, The Pinnacle and other walking tracks in the National Park.  Whilst there, visit the Gariwerd Dreaming Theatre and discover more about the cultural heritage of the Park.  Afterwards why not grab a coffee and relax in the café and browse the many souvenirs that are available.

The picturesque township of Halls Gap in the Grampians Victoria also boasts a variety of award winning restaurants catering for affordable family bistro meals through to five star fine dining.

Whilst in Halls Gap, visit the Stony Creek Village where you will find a variety of shops ranging from, souvenirs, collectables, cafes and ice-creams not to mention the Halls Gap Bakery where you can pick up an award winning vanilla Slice.

Visitors can also enjoy the use of the Halls Gap swimming pool in the summer months, a round of mini golf, a stroll through the Native Botanical Gardens and it is also strongly recommended that you visit the Halls Gap Wildlife Park while you are in the area.

Take a scenic drive from Halls Gap to Pomonal and through to Ararat and along the way visit The Gap Winery, the Lavendar Farm and Barney’s Rubble Bric-a-Brac and then take a tour Through the old Ararat Goal and return home via Stawell and stop in at Great Western and visit the Cellar Door of Seppelts Winery before returning to Halls Gap Victoria.

Other day trips include taking the scenic road through the Grampians Ranges down to the quaint little town of Dunkeld.

You can pamper yourself with a day spa treatment, a facial or a massage from one of the many therapists that operate in the district.
